This article is a relatively short one, and it brings to light the degree of 'greenness' of various electronics companies. It is interesting because environmental friendliness is becoming established as a major concern of society when it comes to brand loyalty. With more articles about rankings, such as this one, companies will make a conscious effort to move up the list.
I found it especially ironic that the company with the most natural name, APPLE, which carries so much symbolism, is the one that is most damaging to the earth.

Evidently it's hard to strike a balance with nature when you're going for making the most innovative products. I'm an Apple user, since 6th grade, and I'll admit that I'm disappointed. I agree with the author, it's quite ironic that Apple is the least environmentally friendly.
Tsk tsk.
It is really incredible to see how much these companies and industries contribute to environmental problems. In the coming years, "going green" is going to be one of the biggest changes this country has seen in quite some time. I really hope all of these companies can realize the detrimental impact they are having on the environment and change their current ways. It is vital to our future on this planet that we initiate some type of restrictions or laws to reduce harmful environmental effects. Companies like Apple could make huge strides by being one of the first “big” companies to go green and be a leader in environmental protection in the future.
I personally find it said how our culture seems to be more concerned with material things rather than our "mother earth". With an environmental conservationist outlook on things I find it disturbing that such a wealthy, productive company, like apple is behind in the environmetnal race. As I learn more of the environment through one of my natural resources classes, I feel as though the conservationist oulook needs to be more of a focus. Through science communication this could be more likely!
