Medical Writer: Health Risks and the Media

The blog belongs to a medical writer who apparently has written a book about being a medical writer. What a coincidence. I found it especially interesting that he used his blog as a board to insert a shameless plug to promote the sales of his book. He offered readers 30% off the price of the book since it was his birthday weekend. Funnily enough, someone commented that they took this as an incentive to purchase the book.
This shows that the blogger is not too bad of a businessman either.
I think Ordessia makes a really good point about blogs as a tool for people to promote their products and services. I have run into several other blogs in which the bloggers shamelessly blog their products, books, business, etc. It is a great way to reach out to a larger audience.
